Alaska Airlines Flight 769 from Boston to San Diego was forced to land at Denver on Tuesday 9th February , 2016, evening after a male passenger became “disruptive” saying “ We are all going to die”.

According another passenger Clair Conroy the man was upset because the flight attendants would not let him drink alcohol he bought on the flight. “ He got very belligerent saying Ok but you know that we are all going to die, I’m not a terrorist, but we’re al going to die. He then started making threats at fellow passengers.”

Spokesperson for Alaska Airlines said: “He was told to calm down by flight crew, and subsequently became agitated and verbally abusive, even issuing a threat to flight crew. This decision was taken “out of an abundance of caution.”

The Alaska Airlines flight was held up for nearly an hour. The plane was delayed by 65 minutes while in Denver and took off for San Diego. No charges were brought against the passenger although the man is led off the plane by police.
