King Charles III led a silent vigil at Queen’s coffin
Charles III and his siblings Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward stood vigil earlier at Westminster Hall.
The wait time to see the Queen lying in state has gone down again to 19.5 hours, from 24 hours, according to the government’s live queue tracker. Stewards briefly stopped people from joining the queue due to it being at capacity, but later reopened the gate at London’s Southwark Park.
UK Prime Minister Liz Truss will meet with US President Joe Biden, Irish premier Micheal Martin, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, and Polish President Andrzej Duda on Sunday at Downing Street ahead of the Queen’s funeral. On Saturday, Liz Truss will meet Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern at the government’s country residence Chevening in Kent.
