Landslides and floods kill 133 in Indonesia and East Timor
!33 people have died after flash floods and landslides sparked by torrential rains in Indonesia and East Timor, with water overflowing dams and submerging thousands of homes, stretching from Flores Island in eastern Indonesia to East Timor. In Indonesia alone over 86 people have died with dozens still missing.
At least 27 people hae died in East Timor, also known as Timor Leste, most from the capital Dili.
Indonesian president Joko Widodo has offered his condolences and urged people to follow the advice from officials during extreme weather conditions.
One woman’s body was recovered from the seashore on the island of Lembata after being swept down a mountain slide.
