The 88th Academy Awards ceremony, hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honoured the best films of 2015, which took place on February 28, 2106 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Steve Golin and Michael Sugar’s ‘Spotlight’ wins the Best Picture, Son of Saul Best Foreign Language Film ‘Laszlo Nemes’, Sam Smith and Jimmy Nash the Best Original Song ‘Writing’s on the Wall’, ‘Mad Max’ wins six, Mark Rylance wins Best Supporting Actor for ‘Bridge of Spies’, Alicia Vikander won the Best supporting Actress ‘ The Danish Girl’, Brie Larson won the Best Actress for ‘Room’, Leonardo DiCaprio won the best Actor for ‘The Revenant’, after being nominated first 23 years ago and Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu won the Best Director ‘The Revenant’. 

“ Inside Out”, was named the Best Animated Feature Film, involving Sajan Sakaria a character supervisor in the American 3D computer animated comedy-drama adventure film. Skaria from Triuvananthapuram, a computer science graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, went to use his animation knowledge and has already worked on seven Hollywood films and is now working with the Pixar Animation Studio, a Walt Disney Company.
