Lizzie makes history in Cheltenham Gold Cup

Lizzie Kelly (23)  becomes the first woman to ride in the Cheltenham Gold Cup for 33 years since Linda Sheedy partnered 500-1 chance Foxbury in 1984. She also became the first female rider to win a Grade One over jumps in Britain when Tea for Two claimed the Kauto Star Novices’ Chase at Kempton last season.

She will team up with Tea for Two, trained by her step-father Nick and owned by her mother Jane.
