London, the world’s most popular travel destination in2015

London is forecast to be the world’s most popular travel destination in 2015  for the second year in a row, according to Mastercard annual travel study.

Mastercard released their annual travel study, the Global destination index, ranking 132 destination cities around the world in terms of total

international overnight visitor arrivals and cross-border spending.

Top 10 destination cities for 2015  ( by projected visitor arrivals)

London tops the fastest growing city by international overnight visitors between 2009-2015, as it earned £13.15bn ($20.23bn), followed by New York ( £11.29bn)  ($17.37bn), Paris  (£10.8bn)($16.61bn), Seoul (£9.91bn) ( $15.24bn), Singapore (£9.52bn) ($14.65bn), Barcelona (£9.01bn)($13.86bn), Bangkok (£8.03bn)($12.36bn), Kuala Lumpur ( £7.81bn) ($12.02bn), Dubai £ (7.59bn)($11.68bn), Istanbul ( £6.09bn) ($9.37bn). Mumbai (£2.15bn) ( $3.3bn ) from visitors  and it the 4th most lucrative market in Asia Pacific for overseas spenders with over 4.75 million people staying overnight.
