Jean-Paul Gaultier, the French haute couture and preta porter designer, is known for his unconventional designs including the illusion of nude via his naked body Trompe I’ceil print dress, long-sleeved bodysuit with crew neck three buttons snap fastening at the realistic-looking crotch, bottom and breasts made with Volkova stretch-jersey maxi dress, 89 per cent polyamide, 20 per cent elastane. The Trompe I’oeil is from the mastermind of Russian super stylist Lotta Volkova, who has launched a capsule collection of pieces from the John Paul Gaultier archive. Also in the eccentric collection is a reimaged cone bra, popularised by Madonna’s Blond Ambition tour in 1990. Keeley Hazel,35, year-old glamour model criticised the £500 Gaultier naked illusion printed dress for a jaw-dropping changing room snap on Instagram, joking that it was perfect wedding guest attire.
The £500 John Paul Gaultier gown was spotted last week not on any catwalk but on London’s Oxford Street.
