Mayoral candidate David Lammy fights for illegal immigrants.

Labour mayoral hopeful David Lammy wants to propose an amnesty to bring people “out of the shadows” into mainstream society and make them pay taxes.  It is estimated there are 300,000 illegal immigrants living in London alone.  Mr Lammy said he would “push from day one” if he is elected to introduce a general amnesty for illegal migrants which has not been tried before.  It would not mean fewer jobs as most of them are in work, it would just mean a much greater income in taxes for the country.  Lammy is among 6 Labour rivals to be the party’s mayoral candidate.
