Mobile e-marketing – new trends
Over 50 per cent of Google search queries worldwide were done using mobile devices. In the US, consumers spent more time on apps than they did on watching Television and over 80 per cent of Facebook’s third-quarter revenues come from mobile ads. Recently Google’s app MobileGeddon is a must have for all two billion mobile users worldwide. According to e-marketer the global mobile advertising market is growing and will account for 60 per cent of all digital advertising, could cross over £100 billion.
Mobile devices now include smartphones, tablets, and wearables like digital watches, the clothes you wear and even your car. Facebook claims over 9m video views every day, as mobile video grows, mobile video advertising is not lagging behind.
Google had recently announced that it will incorporate video ads in search results with the success of vertical videos driven by Snapchat and live streaming apps such as Periscope and Meerkat.
However, Facebook has integrated 360-degree videos into its newsfeed and provide users a unique experience. We-Chat in China is the new trend in China, which has become e-commerce and marketing platform, where users can connect with brands and request services. Instagram’s “ Shop Now” and Pinterest’s “Buyable Pins” and showing the way in the social media to expose their full brand potential.
