2, 100 airline staff lost their jobs and 860,000 people have lost their bookings, as Monarch ceases trading. The Civil Aviation authority is sending over 30 planes to return 110, 000 holidaymakers who are stranded overseas because of the airline collapse.

Monarch – the UK’s fifth biggest and country’s largest ever to collapse, was placed in administration at 4:00 BST, which incidentally  reported a £ 291m loss last year compared to £27m profit the previous year, and blaming on terror attacks in Tunisia, Egypt and increased competition and weak pound,
