MORE THAN 30 PEOPLE ASSASSINATED IN SOUSSE TUNISIA

The number of people recorded dead in Sousse is 39 including a Sandwell council worker and two family members from the Black Country. The assassin brought a Kalashnikov rifle onto the beach disguised under a parasol and suddenly pulled it out in full view of a tourist on a sun lounger and opened fire. Parents and children, friends and families were scattering and running hither and thither to save their lives from the gunman. At least 9 of the dead are British as this resort was popular with people from the UK and Ireland. The gunman was shot dead by police and was Abu Yahya al-Qayrawani, aged 23.
