A huge explosion in an underground car park following a massive fire at Sindika market,  a  Moscow construction market, which triggered the evacuation of over three thousand if people as Structures started to collapse. About a hundred firefighters assisted by three helicopters battled the blaze. 

The fire spread over 592, 000 square feet, as plumes of black thick smoke could be seen rising from the premises.

Three helicopters were dumping 450 tonnes of water on the blaze. The fire reportedly started in the basement of the Sindika mall on the northwest edge of Moscow and soon ripped through the entire shopping center which sells construction goods and eventually the entire roof of the building collapsed.

There were 300 people working on the site, according to Sergey Poletkin, head of Moscow emergency management. 

Sindika consists of 1200 departmental stores and has 5,200 parking spaces.
