Mount Sinabung an Indonesian volcano located in North Sumatra,  which first erupted in 2010 after being inactive for centuries, has erupted again on Tuesday sending clouds of ash up to 3.1 miles.

There are no reported injuries but locals have been advised to stay at least 2 miles away from the crater.

According to Indonesia’s volcanology centre it was the first major eruption at Mount Sinabung since August 2020.
