Spain’s  World two, Rafael Nadal (33), wins the US Open men’s final, beating world number five and first time Grand Slam finalist Russian Daniil Medvedev (23), 7-5, 6-3, 5-7, 4-6, 6-4. Rafael Nadal had won the US open three times.

World number two Nadal now won 19 Grand Slam men’s singles titles and one fewer than Roger Federer’s all-time record of 20 major titles.  He was won5 Grand Slams after turning 30.
