Pakistan bowled with commendable skill after they restricted England to 211 runs and put cold water on efforts of England to secure their first trophy in a 50-over global tournament. The wicketkeeper-captain, Sarfraz Ahmed attacked and took three catches. Hasan ended up with 3 for 35 and his 10 wickets made him the leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

Pakistan’s chase and Fakhar Zaman’s breezily 57 from 58 balls contributing 118 opening stand in 21 overs, while Azhar progressed to 76.

Pakistan is through to the finals and awaits the winners of  India v Bangladesh semi-final.
