Plans to replace Bond’s current box office draw? Watch this space?

On Sat 14th November Daniel Craig and his wife Rachel Weisz “graced” the seventh annual Grovernors Awards in Hollywood in a gala celebration of legendary Spike Lee – Director born 1957. There are hopes from some corners that Craig will appear in another “JB” movie – but everyone is being tight lipped and cloak and dagger  at the moment about the awe inspiring latest Bond film “Spectre” in which “himself” is the box office big draw, in association of course with the Bond formula of tremendously  exciting movies which have been running for very many years.

Actors Damien Lewis, Henry Cavill and Idris Elba are all “panting” in  the wings to take over the lead role in the next JB movie but Barbara Broccoli – “The Horses Mouth” is keeping options open as to who will be Bond in the next Bond Movie – and this while we are all taking in the magnificent “Spectre” – at your local cinema now!

Barbara has been quoted as saying “I’m planning to hang on to Daniel for as long as possible…He is just the most spectacular actor…When we originally talked to him about doing this role, he said, “If I am going to do it, I’m going to do it 100 per cent”. He’s done more than that”. Is there a hidden agenda perhaps that Daniel Craig is asking for money? That seems unlikely but it is possible.  “Skyfall” his previous Bond incarnation – was the biggest draw to date of all JB movies.

As many people know, Barbara is the daughter of former Bond produced Albert Broccoli.  Her quotes must be taken as the nearest thing to the holy grail where the future of Bond is concerned.  Watch this space.  Cheers.  Penny Nair Price.
