In a FaceTime Call Lady Gaga (31) and Duke of Cambridge Prince William opened up about mental health. In a video released the pop star joined Duke of Cambridge’s Heads together #oktosay campaign, which he leads along with the Duchess and Prince Harry to raise.

“There’s lots of shame and stigmas attached to mental illness. You feel like something it’s wrong with you” Lady Gaga said from her kitchen in Los Angeles. She further said “It’s time that everyone speaks up, just having a conversation with a friend or family member can make such a difference. People with mental health problems were not hiding anymore”.

In their video call – released on the Royal Family’s Facebook page they discussed ending the stigma. Prince William said, “It’s so important to break open that fear and that taboo”.

William asked Lady Gaga to join forces following an open letter she released through her Born This Way Foundation to reveal she has lived with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after she was sexually assaulted when she was 19.

The release of the video come after Prince Harry revealed that he sought counselling four years ago to deal with the grief of losing his mother, Princes Diana.
