Rishi Kapoor (67) Bollywood’s romantic hero dies

Bollywood actor passes away at 67 after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday evening. Wife Neetu and son Ranbir had been constantly on his side during this illness.

Second son of legendary actor Raj Kapoor  and part o the Kapoor acting dynasty made his debut in 1973 film Bobby., a teenage love story.

 

His career spanning over two decades started as a child actor in his father Raj Kapoor’s film Mera Naam Joker.Several of this films Khel Khel Mein ,Karz and Chandni became massive box-office hits.

 

He made successful on-screen pair with actress Neetu Singh who he married in 1980. Their son Ranbir Kapoor, is also a successful Bollywood star in his own right.

Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and returned to India last September after a year-long treatment in New York.

 

 

The actor’s family confirmed his death in a message and said ! He was grateful for the love of his fans that poured in from the world over. In his passing, they would all understand that he would like to be remembered with a smile and not with tears”.
