A fearless Joe Root thrashing 68 off 46 balls including 8 fours and 1 six complied a healthy 191/7 off 20 0vers. In reply New Zealand  although started well  with 72-2 with Kane Williamson scoring  57 off 37 balls 8 fours, but after Ross Taylor lofted  Rashid to Willey at long off  they had batting collapse. Some tight bowling by England’s  Finn and Wood left New Zealand needing an impossible task of 61 0f 31 balls with 7 wickets down. Remarkable Willey running out Williamson sealed the match with New Zealand all out for 135 runs in 16.2 overs with 22 balls to spare.
