Love Letters and Old Scars examines some issues of love and femininity in this buoyant exhibition.

South Asian artist Saira Jamieson who lives near Portobello is now proudly exhibiting at J/M Gallery  230 Portobello Road during Kensington and Chelsea Art week 28 June – 4 July.  Her colourful and sensuous paintings embrace the story of female entrapment and fighting for freedom.  Saira is influenced by the Pre-Raphaelite Artists including the famous painting of The Lady of Shalottt by John William Waterhouse..  Virginia Woolf’s writings are also an inspiration. “Red Hydrangeas” pictured is 40×30 oil impasto on canvas and is priced at £3,070.  There are mainly enchanting and modernist paintings and also a collection of quotes written in black curvaceous writing and other black on white artworks.
Also at the site is a mesmerising and “buy me!” collection of designer garments being sold by Kiki Munnis who selected them from Californian apparel
