Actress Sondra Locke, famous for making six movies with Clint Eastwood, has died at the age of 74.

She earned an Oscar nomination for her first film, The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, in 1968. Locke however, became romantically involved with Eastwood whilst making The Outlaw Josey Wales in 1975, but later went on to sue him for fraud when they broke up.

She died on 3 November after having a heart attack, related to her breast cancer and bone cancer.

She featured in The Gauntlet (1977), Every Which Way But Loose (1978), Bronco Billy (1980) and Any Which Way You Can (1980). The Tennessee-born actress also starred in the 1983 film Sudden Impact which was the fourth film in the Dirty Harry series.
