South West Airline’s Boeing Max 8 makes an emergency landing
A South West Airline Boeing Max 8 aircraft without any passengers made an emergency landing in the US Orlando after experiencing an engine problem. The plane was heading to California for repositioning but made a safe emergency landing in Orlando.
Southwest Flight 8701 departed from Orlando International at 2:50pm Tuesday, but was forced to return minutes later after pilots reported an engine problem.” The crew followed protocol and safely landed back at the airport. The flight was scheduled to fly to South California Logistics Airport in Victorville, Calif, for short-term storage,” South West said in a statement. The engine problem is unrelated to the plane’s automatic anti-stall systems currently under investigation after the crash of Lion Air Flight 610 from Jakarta, Indonesia and Ethiopian Airlines flight 302 which crashed just over two weeks ago.
All 737 MAX was grounded in the US on March 13 after the two Max8 crashes.
