Textiles, portable luxury, practicality and magic are well shown in this spellbinding exhibition. This includes film of women hand-winding silk from cocoons or men doing the embroidery or chiselling printing blocks.   There is even 18th century materials there to be viewed.  Tipu Sultan’s mid 18th century chintz tent  printed with vivid poppies springing from vases is a sight to see.   Its roof, of eight bellying panels is a showstopper.

Try not to miss out on diving into this exciting and uplifting display of all that is good in textiles, interpretation of cloths and imagination of how they can be embellished to create some of or the most well loved results in the whole universe.
