Thomas The Tank Engine narrator Michael Angelis dies aged 76
Actor Michael Angelis narrator of Thomas The Tank Engine for 3 series after taking over from Beatle star Ringo Starr in 1991, and known for his TV dramas role such as Boys from the Blackstuff, has died suddenly at his home, aged 76.
The Liverpool born actor also appeared in Minder, the Liver Birds, Z Cars, Good Cop, acted as Mickey Startup in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, and starred alongside Bernard Hill and Julie Walters in the Bafta-winning 1980s series Boys From The Blackstuff, which highlighted the hardships of unemployment.
He was married to Coronation Street actress Helen Worth who plays Gail Platt from 1991 to 2001 and later married Jennifer Khalastchi.
