Tropical störm in North Carolina
Flood followed the tropical storm. North Carolina received 8 trillion gallons of rain from Hurricane Florence and the landscape between the Cape Fear River and the barrier islands of the Carolinas is a waterworld.
The floodwaters reached thousands of cesspools containing the waste of 6 million hogs and on Friday the waters ultimately reached a pool of toxic coal ash.
Almost 200,000 were left without power as Hurricane Florence lashed with speeds above 90 mph at North Carolina coast.
