For the second time West Indies exceeded 300, through their highest scorer was Denesh Ramdin with 51; Lendl Simmons 50, Darren Sammy 30, Andre Russell, who hit 42 from 13 balls, four of which were smashed for six.

In their last 10 overs the West Indies plundered 115 runs.

Bangladesh leave Brisbane with one point from their Group A match against Australia after heavy consistent rain forced an total abandonment at the Gabba. The game was called off at 4.42 pm, two hours after the scheduled start.

In Pool A New Zealand  now heads with 6 points, Aus and Bangladesh are second and third with 3 points, and Sri Lanka is fourth with 0 points. Then it’s Afghanistan, Scotland, and England last thanks to their dire net run rate. New Zealand have played three games, Australia have only managed one.
