Wild jumbo on rampage flattens 100 houses in Siliguri
One hundred houses crushed in Siliguri, Dabgram, West Bengal, eastern India as a wild elephant on a rampage mission flattened several houses. This is the effect of global warming on wildlife raw shocking moment.
Panic stricken people started running helter-skelter and Forest personnel rushed to the spot to drive away the Pachyderm to the forest. They fired transquiliser shots at the jumbo without success. It went berserk and turned its wrath on the housing damaging walls and pillars. Baikunthapur Forest Ranger Sanjoy Dutta said several buildings were damaged by the jumbo.
