William and Harry unveiled Diana’s statue

B4529132-27B8-4BC2-9704-6E7D62ED220DWilliam and Harry have been brought together for a day to unveil a statue of their mother princes Diana.

Duke of Cambridge and Duke of  Sussex said the bronze statute flanked by children including on hiding behind her skirt represented her love, strength and character, on what would have been her 60th birthday.

The ceremony took place in Kensington Palace Gardens was only their second meeting in 17 months after Harry quit as Royal. “Everyday we wish she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy”.

William and Harry were just 15 and 12 when the Princes of Wales died aged 36 in a Paris underpass car crash in 1997.

Diana’s brother Earl Spencer and sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Lady Jane Fellowes also attended.Sculpture Ian Rank-Broadley’s work was designed to encapsulate Diana’s warmth, elegance and energy.
