Over 100 car drivers who used Google Maps to get to Denver International Airport in the US ended up on a narrow beaten path into an open field filled with ditches stranding them last week. One driver who was on route to pick up her husband at the airport said it would’ve taken 47 minutes to get the terminal if she would have waited out in the traffic, but the detour indicated it would only take 23 minutes.

They eventually reached the airport.

They were all trying to avoid a traffic jam and followed s shortcut shown on Google Maps.

Google said the issues can arise due to factors like weather and drivers should use their best judgement.

In the olden days drivers used to used A to Z or Atlas.
