400 Metres – New World Record for athlete trained by his Great Granny

Athlete Wayde Van Niekerk of South Africa beat the record previously held by retired Michael Johnson of the USA when he ran 400 metres in a time of 43.03.  His coach is his great grandma Anna Botha, aged 74,  and Johnson has observed that he could be the next star in the sport though clearly he already is the new star in the sport!! A gold medal therefore for South Africa as well as a new record – Happy Days.
