Danger emerges out of the blue

Millions use escalator everyday safely but aaccidents are more prevalent although deaths are infrequent. There are more than 10, 000 reported injuries annually in United States alone. Most are slip and fall accidents, but 20 per cent of escalator deaths and accidents are the result of entrapment.

Escalator accidents can leave you with severe trauma. A 30-year-old mother saves her son but falls to her death when an escalator panel gives way, A crowded escalator speeds up before collapsing.

What causes escalator accidents is negligence and lack of duty of care.
