Google’s Sundhar Pichai Chief Executive has announced new building plans in their offices in Kings Cross London, which should increase the workforce from 4 thousand to 7 thousand by 2020.

The HQ has been designed by Thomas Heatherwick who created the 2012 Olympic cauldron and also drew up the design for the controversial Garden Bridge.

“We have some of the best talent in the world in the UK and to be able to build great products from here sets us up well for the long term” said Sundar Pichai.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan approved the proposals adding, “This is a vote of confidence in our great city – creating high-skilled jobs, supporting growth and demonstrating that London is open to business, new investment and talent from around the Globe.”
