New American Dream – Donald Trump
Donald Trump promised a new chapter in American greatness and Dream, saying “From now America will be empowered by our aspirations, not by our fears” in his joint address to Congress, his first as president.
Donald Trump declares “the time of trivial fights is behind us” in an attempt to offer a bright vision to all Americans as he hails new chapter in American greatness,
“Ninety-four million Americans are out of the labour force”.
He also spoke of “a new surge of optimism” and “national pride” with his election by saying “ I am here tonight to deliver a message of unity and strength, and it is a message deeply delivered from my heart”
He called on Congress to support a $1 trillion infrastructure bill, which was currently received by both sides of the aisle.
He also called on Congress to repeal the Affordable Care Act. There was a standing ovation for Caryn Owens, the widow of Chief Petty Officer William Ryan Owens, a navy seal, who died in Yemen on 28th January 2017, as she cried and looked skyward for her husband.
