One of the most famous living people in the world – Mark Zuckerberg – founder of Facebook is now married to his long term partner Priscilla Chan and the lovely couple have a baby daughter Max. They are planning to give away 99 per cent of their wealth to charity which still leaves them plenty to live on. This imitates the plan of other billionaires including Warren Buffet and Bill and Melissa Gates. Mark Zuckerberg is only 31 and married in 2012 and is currently on paternity leave.
Shares worth over £2 billion will be distributed amongst charity in the next 3 years. The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is the chosen name for their focus on “personalised learning, curing disease, connecting people and building strong communities” towards which they will channel funds in future.
However Zuckerberg still plans to “hold the reins” in his business for years to come. The Saturn Herald wish Mark, Priscilla and their daughter Max a happy and contented future together and no doubt more additions to the family will arrive in due course.
