New Zealand 291 all out 45 overs, KS Williamson 100 off 97, 8 fours, 3 sixes, LRPL Taylor 46 off 58, 6 fours, JR Hazelwood 53-6, PJ Cummins 67-1, JW Hastings 69-2.

Australia 53/3 off 9 overs, DA Warner 18 off 16,1 four, 1 six, SPD Smith 8 off 6, 2 fours, HC Hewnriques 18 off 14, 4 fours, AF Milne 9-2, TA Boult 28-1.

Although rain washed the game away, there was enough play for Kane Williamson to score his first ODI hundred against Australia. Jos Hazlewood to claim his career best six-wicket haul and Luke Ranchi score a s33-ball half-century. Australia’s chase only nine overs old was cut short by rain – 11 short of the required 20 overs and the points of the match were shared. Now both teams have to win their two remaining games against Bangladesh and England. New Zealand was disappointed by the weather, as Australia at 53 for 3 from 9 overs in pursuit of 235 from 33 was struggling.
