Strike by journalists in the UK’s second biggest newspaper group.

Newsquest has put all but 12 of their 29 staff at Sutton, South London at risk of redundancy.  The 12 will cover news sport and leisure across 11 newspapers and associated websites under a single current editor.

Newsquest South London members are back on the picket line until Friday 28 October and then will be on a work to rule.

Seven reporters have resigned and many of them left last week. Several boroughs no longer have the appropriate reporters to cover local issues.
