Sundar graduated from college in 1993, he went to Stanford where he earned his Masters in material science and engineering. He is trained in density, molecular mechanics the critical materials that make good semi-conductors.  Pichai’s mastery of this knowledge and his ability to do cheaply things that are useful to everyone, irrespective class, caste, creed or background, attracted Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry page both have degrees in computer science. Pichai  bron on 12th July 1972, pushed forward some unconventional silly projects called Project Loon. But his effort in 2013, after 2 years to provide the internet to rural users by way of weather balloons that stay aloft for six months at a time with LTE network attached from them, and put this to test, established him, After earning MBA at Wharton he worked at McKinsey and company and Applied Materials that provides supplied to semi-conductor manufacturers. He moved to Google in 2004, and soon became the architect of lightning-fast information web browser, Chrome in 2008, which started as the Google Toolbar, which got broadened to full-blown web browser. Chrome now loads up web pages quickly and manages multiple logins and passwords across different computer platforms and cornered 25 per cent of the market share as it was easy to use. This was also the basis for the Chromebook, which simply stores all the user’s information in the cloud rather than bulky internal hard drives. Pichai’s current obsession with the Indian subcontinent and China, Project Svelte, a slimmed down version of Android for cheaper phones. As in India, only 10 million people out of a billion had seen landlines, as they have to wait seven year to get one and when the cell phones came and industry got over saturated even the dabba wallas ( Tiffin carriers),  coconut harvesters all now carry mobile phones.

The Tech company created a holding company called Alphabet that will run mega-profit Google and dozen other money-losers that Google has called “moonshots” on the other. Pichai also was showing a shopping app called Wish which connects shoppers in the US and Europe direct to Chinese suppliers.

Alphabet will be run by Google chief Larry Page, who showered praise upon Pichai, the current senior vice president of products.

‘I feel very fortunate to have someone as talented as he is to run the slightly slimmed down Google and this frees up time for me to continue to scale our aspirations,’ Page.
He said he was impressed with Pichai’s ‘progress and dedication to the company’ and promised to continue to groom him.

‘I have been spending quite a bit of time with Sundar, helping him and the company in any way I can, and I will of course continue to do that.’

In his current role, Pichai oversees product management, engineering and research for Google’s products and platforms, according to Google’s filing at the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Before that, he was SVP of Google Android, Chrome and Apps, working on consumer products ‘used by millions of people,’ the filing said.

Page said Pichai is the man to steer the Google ship in the coming years, as it continues to innovate and expand its product base.

‘Google itself is also making all sorts of new products, and I know Sundar will always be focused on innovation-continuing to stretch boundaries,’ he said.

‘I know he deeply cares that we can continue to make big strides on our core mission to organize the world’s information.

Pichai said ““At a high level, I think of what we’re doing in terms of two core things. I really want to work on big problems that solve big problems in users’ lives. The second is our core mission statement, which is to organize our users’ information.”
