The Lincoln Lawyer: A Slick Netflix TV series
In Los Angeles Mickey Haller played by Manuel Gracia-Rulfo is a defense criminal attorney who operates with last-minute twists for the finale, keeping viewers glued to Netflix and on the edge of their seats. The Lincoln Lawyer, based on the novel The Brass Verdict by Michale Connelly, and a remake of the 2011 Mathew McConaughey film, a David E. Kelley series is a traditional procedural courtroom drama, resting on the titular lawyer in question, Mickey Haller (Manuel Gracia-Rulfo as he investigates a critical case. Mickey is brought back from unemployment after a former acquaintance defense lawyer who was gunned down leaves his law practice to him, which triggers a series of events that act as a catalyst triggering a series of event that forces Mickey to be roped into a splashy high profile case involving a games guru and tech millionaire Trevor Elliot played by Christopher Gorham the video game owner convicted of murdering his wife Laura ( Kay Erin) and her lover as his family home. Mickey begins to think that Trevor’s college roommate, who is now head of a Russian mob and whom Trevor put as the initial investor in his business, is behind the killings of Trevor’s wife and her boyfriend, Jan Rilz.
Mickey’s investigation reveals a “ magic bullet “ that Jerry had that would help him win the case, and he ties it to a shooter that was caught on the same night named Eli Wimes (Mikal Vega). During the trial, Mickey successfully proves that Trevor could not have murdered his wife and boyfriend and disposed of his bloodstained clothes and gun in 7 minutes. However, the testimony of Sonia Patel ( Puja Mohindra), a friend of Laura’s, and his own research reveals that it was Laura and not Trevor who was behind the success and brilliance of his game, and it was her line of codes that had made Trevor millions.
Kelley’s on familiar ground with the legal world, having created LA Law and Goliath. Lincoln refers to his car, not his location.
