Torch tower blaze, none injured!
A Fire broke out on the 50th floor of the 79-storey, 676 residential apartments in Dubai Marina Torch skyscraper, 32nd tallest buildings in the World, caught fire on 21st February 2015, Saturday at 3:00am (23:00GMT), as thousands of residents were evacuated from the Marina Tower and adjacent buildings.
In half and hour the fire reached 60th floor, and the cause of the fire is reported to be a cigarette butt, none of the residents was injured.Flames shot out from either side of the building as broken glass and metal debris came tumbling down as the wind picked up broken claddings from near the summit of the structure 336.1 meters (1,105 feet) tall and cluttered the nearby streets.
The cost of a two-bedroom flat starts at £325,000. Dubai is one of seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
