India were all out for 466, as England need 368 to win or to bat for almost four sessions for the draw.

England’s highest successful run-chase at home is 362 at Headingly 2019.Earlier Woakes gets Jadeja and Rahane out lbw as India 296-5 had a mini middle-order collapse  from 296 for 3  within 10 over to 312 for 6, but indomitable Shardul Thakur 60 off 72 balls and calm Rishabh Pant 50 off 107 balls managed to add 100 runs for the seventh wicket ensured a 367-run lead for India. India’s tail did wag as Yadav (25) and Jasprit Bumrah (24)  also ensure taking the target past 350-run mark.

Haseeb Hameed  43 off 85 balls and Rory Burns 31 off 109 balls put om 77 runs in 12 overs on placid track that showed little sign of wear and tear. Although a few balls did turn but Burns tackled them with ease, Jasprit Bumrah tired to exert some pressure on the openers
